Introduction #
The Month tab of the Reseller Toolkit provides an easy way to see your month-over-month sales performance at a glance. This is another worksheet focused on product sales only, so please note that it doesn’t include other revenue and expense data; it is a snapshot of your sales performance across platforms.
The worksheet includes a table with key performance indicators by month as well as a chart measuring your revenue and net profit over time.
Columns #
Month: The month associated with the data to the right of the month.
Revenue: How much revenue was earned from sales that month, so the total revenue inclusive of any fees, shipping, and taxes.
Net Profit: The total profit earned from sales after inventory costs, shipping, taxes, fees, and commissions.
# of Sales: The total number of sales tracked for the month. Refunded items are included here in the count, because they were originally captured as sales. (Refunded transactions are not included in revenue or net profit, of course, but they do factor in to the sale count and average sale price.)
Avg Sale Price: The average amount that sold items for the month earned in revenue.
Refunds: The dollar amount of refunds processed for the month.
Shipping: How much your business paid in shipping out of revenue earned (i.e. shipping costs you paid for).
Fees: The total amount of fees linked to sales paid for the month.
Inventory Cost: The total amount spent on inventory, as calculated by looking for matching dates on the Inventory tab and totalling the amounts in the Cost column.
Days to Sell: The average number of days it took to sell an item from the time that it was originally listed.
Commissions: How much money your partners earned in commissions for the month.
Taxes: How much money was collected in taxes for sales made during that month.
Margin: Your profit margin for the month, so how much of your profit from sales you kept from total revenue.
