Save 1 minute per Poshmark Listing
I absolutely love finding new ways to improve my clothing resale workflow and save time. The more efficient I get, the more time I get with my family and the more I profit from my resale activities. And little changes add up; for every minute I can cut from a listing, that’s 1-2 hours per week saved, or an entire WEEK saved over the span of a year. I’ll gladly take an extra week of vacation with my family in exchange for 30 minutes to set up a script in my browser!
The Poshmark Listing Problem
This tip is for users who incorporate Artificial Intelligence or other third-party tools into their listing workflows. If your listing work is entirely in the Poshmark app and you write your own listings or use their AI tools, this article won’t help you. I use AI externally because I can control the exact rules, instructions, and format I want my listings to use, and this granular approach requires that I do a lot of the work manually and outside of the Posh app.
Here’s my current workflow for creating a new listing:
- Take photos in the Poshmark app on my iPhone.
- Save the draft listing.
- On a computer, open the draft listing.
- Open each individual photo and save the high-quality version locally.
- Upload the photos to a ChatGPT conversation that uses my custom rules to generate a listing in the exact format I want.
- Copy and paste the details from ChatGPT into the draft listing, including referencing the comp pricing research the GPT did for me to help set a listing price.
It’s step 4 that takes a lot of time, because it requires going into every photo, opening it in a lightbox, checking the elements to get the image source URL, and then saving that file locally. I typically do that eight to 10 times per listing, so it adds up. I spend one to two minutes on every single listing saving those files so that I can use them in my AI conversation. There wasn’t really a good alternative since Poshmark doesn’t have an API and the draft listings are restricted to my account only, so they can’t easily be scraped.
The Solution
Tampermonkey is a browser extension that allows you to customize what you can do with web pages by adding your own scripts. I used it on Google Chrome, where it’s available as an extension in the Chrome Web Store. After installing it and activating it, make sure to follow the steps here in the FAQ to allow user scripts and enable developer mode.
Next you’ll need to create a new script, which I have made available in this text file. Just open that file up in your favorite text editor, copy the contents, and paste it into the script editor. It should look like this:
Then save the script and try going to a Poshmark page to edit listings. The URL should start with https://poshmark.ca/edit-listing/. If everything worked, then on a listing page you should see a button in the upper right to Download Draft Images. Assuming you do, click the button and all of the listing images will be instantly downloaded as separate files. Look for the JPG files, as these are normally the item photos you uploaded. Note that ChatGPT only allows up to 10 files per message, so I typically omit my photos with measurements and any that aren’t critical to AI content generation. (I need to leave out some images because I often take more than 10.)
Using the download button to grab a copy of all images saves me 60 to 90 seconds per listing. Your results may vary, but for me, being able to download all listing images in bulk is a game-changer for my workflow.

The script above is provided at no cost and Tampermonkey is also completely free to use. With that in mind, as long as you’re comfortable setting this up, you can yield significant time savings if you have to save your Posh listing images so you can use them elsewhere.
